History
Yesterday, I walked to the public library and did some reading on the history of Anderson. In one of the books I ran across the mention of this house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. For some reason I doubt that the green trim is an original color, but who knows. One other thing that I learned about Anderson was the gas boom that occurred in the late 1800's. Natural gas fields were discovered in central Indiana and Ohio. The gas seems to have been discovered because of the practice of early settlers to drill for salt water. Natural gas was then used for heating and lighting in the city. At one point they even piped it into the White River and lit up the river. How bazaar is that?
